What Should I Grow in My Zone 7 Garden Box?

I have a garden box that gets full sun and I'm looking to start fresh with new plants. I'm really interested in growing onions, but I'm worried that it might be too hot for them in my region. I've already got some peppers and tomatoes in there, but I'm open to suggestions for anything else that would thrive in the heat. What are some good options for fruits or veggies in Zone 7?

Being in Zone 7a is fantastic for summer gardening! You can definitely try planting carrots, radishes, peas, or beans. They all thrive in the heat. Additionally, determinate tomatoes, basil, chard, and even Chinese cabbage can be great options. Don’t forget that squashes do well too! It's also a good time to plant more herbs if you're needing fresh ones for the summer.

Thanks for the tips! I love the idea of adding some bush beans and maybe even a couple of watermelon plants since they're perfect for summer heat!
