Hey everyone! I'm looking to replace my kitchen sink, but I'm a bit confused about the size. The sink that's currently in my kitchen is a 33"x22" drop-in, and I'm wondering if I can still fit that size given that my cabinets are only 30" wide (30" across the doorway and 32" from wall to wall). All the guides say you need 36" cabinets for a 33x22 sink, but my existing one fits perfectly fine! The cabinet structure inside is untouched, so it seems like it was done without any hacks. If I choose a smaller sink, I'm worried there'll be a visible gap on the counter. Should I go for the 33x22 sink I'm looking at, or is there something I should be cautious about? My plumber is coming in a couple of weeks, so I want to decide soon and can always return it if it won't fit. Appreciate any tips!

You definitely don't need a plumber to confirm fit! Just find the sink you like and check out the manual for the exact measurements. It’s best to compare those dimensions with your existing sink opening. You should be good if everything aligns right!

I did some digging for the Ruvati, but the cabinet measurements are what's throwing me off. How can I measure the existing sink opening without taking it out? It's constantly in use, and I can’t see how the counter is cut due to the lip.
