I've been keeping a close eye on my plants every day, trying to get rid of squash bugs and flea beetles with insecticidal soap, and it seems to be working for the most part. However, I've recently discovered that squash vine borers have invaded my squash plants, which has really got me down. On top of that, I've been battling with deer as well. Normally, I manually remove caterpillars and toss them into the bird feeder, but SVBs are tricky to catch. Should I consider using BT to combat them? Are there any other strategies I should look into?

I've found that using a syringe to inject BT into the hollow parts of the squash stems really helps. Just look for any signs of damage, and give those spots a good dose. It works wonders!
