Is Shadowfoam Worth the Cost for DeWalt Drawers?

Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone has experience using Shadowfoam inserts specifically in DeWalt boxes or drawers. The idea really interests me, but the price tag is making me hesitant. When considering all my boxes, it totals up to potentially hundreds of pounds! Is it really worth it, or are there better alternatives?

One option is to create your own inserts using insulation foam board. It's way cheaper and you can customize it to fit your tools! Just paint it to make it look nice. Totally a budget-friendly approach!

If you're open to alternative products, check out Kaizen Source. They offer similar foam inserts at a lower price point – much more budget-friendly than Shadowfoam. I found it really helpful for organizing my gear!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely look into that.

I've used Shadowfoam in my 2-drawer unit for my tools, and it's been great! The material has held up well, but I agree that it's on the expensive side. Just be careful with larger tools, or they might jam if they roll around too much when opening the drawers!
