I'm dealing with a particularly hot garage that heats up to about 120°F by late afternoon and stays warm overnight. The garage is directly below my master bedroom, creating a 5-10°F temperature difference from the rest of my house. Unfortunately, my HOA doesn't allow any exterior changes, so I can't vent hot air outside. Because my house sits about three feet above the garage floor, there's an interior wall that connects the garage to the large crawlspace beneath the house. I live in a hot, dry climate in the southwestern USA and I'm considering installing a vent with a motorized fan to push hot air from the garage into the crawlspace, either based on temperature or a timer. I've read that moisture could be an issue with this setup, but my environment is arid, so I'm skeptical. Does anyone have advice on this plan or a potentially simpler solution?

Venting hot air from the garage to the crawlspace might just heat your entire house rather than cool it down! If possible, consider pumping cooler crawlspace air into the garage instead. You might find it works better for managing the temperature. A contractor could give you the best advice.
Before you go for venting, try adding a radiant barrier on your garage door. It could help reduce the heat buildup a lot!

That makes sense! It's all about finding a way to keep that heat from migrating into living spaces.
