Hey everyone! I'm clearing out my garden space after my current crops, which include bok choy, lettuce, and cannabis in 10-gallon grow bags. I'm in Zone 6, near Lake Erie, and luckily, I usually get a few extra weeks of growing time. What are some good veggies or plants I can put in the ground for the rest of the season?

How about green beans? They can be either bush or pole varieties, so you’ve got options there.
You might want to consider planting some fennel or a determinate tomato. If you have a friend with bush tomatoes, you can ask for cuttings before they pull theirs up—just root them in water, and you should be good to go! An early variety like Early Girl could really work well for you too, depending on your exact location in northern NY.
Cucumbers could also be a great choice for the rest of the season! They grow pretty quick and can yield quite a lot if you have the space.
I’m also in Zone 6 near Lake Erie, and tomorrow I’m putting in more yellow potatoes in grow bags. They do really well for me through September, and I find the smaller ones taste even better!
Are you using just regular supermarket potatoes?

I actually already have plenty of pole beans planted!
