What are some good short perennial flower bulbs to plant right now?

I'm looking for recommendations on perennial flower bulbs that I can plant right now, preferably ones that stay short like crocuses and snowdrops—nothing taller than daffodils. I'm planning to put them in a south-facing front garden. Thanks for any suggestions!

It's tricky to plant bulbs this time of year without expecting to lift them for winter. Most bulbs are better suited for autumn planting. However, you can try planting snowdrops in the green—they're hardy and should thrive. Also, the little daffodils you find in supermarkets can be planted out after they've finished blooming, which is a great way to get them established in your garden!

If you're looking for short perennials to plant now, summer-flowering bulbs are a solid choice. Consider freesias—they're beautiful and not too tall! Just keep in mind that spring bulbs won't bloom this year if you plant them now. Gladiolus is lovely too, but they're on the taller side. Good luck with your garden!

Freesias sound great! I've planted them before—super pretty.
