I'm looking for some lock suggestions for a roll-up garage door at my mechanic shop. Since there's no regular door for access, I need a good locking solution that functions from the outside. I came across an example [here](https://a.co/d/7k2QTpS), but I'm eager to hear any better options you all might have. Thanks in advance for your help!

If locking from the inside is off the table, have you thought about using vice grips on the track? Sure, it’s not elegant, but it could be a temporary fix until you find something better!
You might want to consider locks that slide through a slot in the rail. I used to have one that was centered on the door; it would rotate to pull back two long arms into each side of the railing. They seem to be less common these days with all the automatic garage door openers, but they were pretty secure. Just a thought!
I actually ended up buying one of those today! It looks solid enough for the job, but I’m still on the lookout for something more secure. Definitely gives me peace of mind for now.

Yeah, but that wouldn’t really do much for security when you're away.
