Hey everyone! I've been diving deeper into indoor gardening lately, and while it's super rewarding, it can definitely feel a bit overwhelming at times. I'm trying to keep track of each plant's specific needs like watering schedules, pest management, and just remembering who needs what. It's been stressing me out a bit!
As a mobile app developer, I'm working on a side project called Botanik, a simple plant reminder app, to help me manage all this. But, I realized I might only be scratching the surface when it comes to addressing common frustrations.
I'd really love to know, what are your biggest challenges as a plant parent? Whether it's keeping track of watering schedules, knowing the right time to repot, identifying issues, or anything else that's a headache, please share your experiences! I used to use other apps like Planta, but they became too pricey, and I'm looking for something straightforward that works. Let's learn from each other and maybe I can incorporate some helpful features into my app! Thanks!

Instead of just having a standard watering schedule, I'd really appreciate if my plant app gave me specific conditions for when to water. For instance, with Hypoestes, I'd want to keep the soil damp, whereas for Monsteras, I should water only when the soil is dry.
I also want clearer descriptions for light requirements. What does 'bright indirect light' really mean? It seems like there's such a huge range in how different plants handle sunlight versus artificial light!
Totally agree! It can really vary based on how the plants are grown too.
Feel free to share any thoughts and tips you have! We're all in the same boat here, and sometimes swapping ideas can lead to some great solutions.

That makes a lot of sense! Tailoring it to specific plants sounds like a great feature.
