Can I Save My Zucchini Plant After Its Roots Were Cut?

I've had a bit of a crisis with my zucchini plant. My family was watering it and accidentally cut off some of the roots, not realizing that plant roots aren't normally green. I'm not sure how long it's been like this, but I've noticed that over the last week, the plant stopped growing and the flowers are wilting. Is there any way to save it, or is this plant a lost cause?

Were they seriously digging in the soil? That’s bizarre! If they just snipped a few tendrils, it shouldn’t kill the plant, but if they got into the roots, it’s not looking good. Such a strange situation!

Right?! How does that even happen? Sounds like a comedy skit or something!

You might want to wait and see if it can regrow roots, but I have a feeling it could be a goner depending on how much was cut off. It's definitely a tough situation!

I’m just baffled they even saw the roots to cut them! What were they thinking? ?

Wow, that’s a major mishap! Time to have a little sit-down and explain how plants work to them. As for the plant itself, if they were just cutting at tendrils, it might still be okay, but if they dug into the soil, that could definitely do some damage!

Seriously! All the posts about shriveled flowers can't compare to this! ?
