Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to gardening and not exactly loving it. I'm renting and now I have to handle the yard work, which is a bit daunting! There's this overgrown plot that seems to have been a garden before, but it's just filled with weeds now. Last year, I had someone clean it up and add mulch, but my ambition to plant there this year has been stalled due to all the rain and heat in PA.
So, I'm toying with the idea of using large pots instead of planting directly in the ground. My goal is to find some low-maintenance design ideas that won't look silly with just a pot or two out there. Any suggestions for simple container gardening inspiration would be much appreciated!

One of the easiest ways to fill a large area is by seeding zinnias or cosmos. I've had great success with just sprinkling seeds from a 1/4 lb bag, and they always germinate and flower non-stop! It's a low-maintenance option that looks beautiful!

I love the idea of zinnias! I want something more organized in the front, but I'll keep that in mind!
