When is the Best Time to Remove Wasp Nests?

I'm dealing with wasp nests at my house, with activity spotted from April to September. I've got one in my unfinished garage space and two more way up on the gutters, which are over 25 feet high and have gutter guards. I've heard buzzing from the unfinished area above the garage, and I'm worried about the potential for wasps to chew through drywall if I seal things up. What's the best approach to handle this situation? And what would be a reasonable cost to get this sorted?

First off, make sure you're really dealing with wasps and not bees, as they require different approaches. If it's wasps, they tend to slow down when it gets cold, making it easier for you or a pest control team to remove the nests safely and seal off entry points. Getting a professional might be your best bet if you're not comfortable climbing those high gutters!

They're wasps 100%. Thanks for confirming that!

A solid strategy after you remove the nest is to use paper mache fake nests. Wasps are pretty territorial and dislike other wasp groups, so hanging these up in place of the removed nests can deter any new ones from moving back in. It works wonders, especially if they're getting into your attic or overhangs.
