Hey everyone! I'm excited to start my vegetable garden this season, but I'm really keen on keeping it chemical-free. I'm curious about what natural methods you've found effective for keeping pests at bay. Do you have any tips on companion planting, homemade sprays, or any other neat tricks?

Weather plays a huge role in pest control! Last year, I was overrun by slugs because of the rain. It's tough to fight against those little swarming armies, so make sure you keep an eye on the weather, too. But definitely look into nematodes; they can really help reduce pest populations in the soil!
One of the easiest ways to get rid of pests is by encouraging helpful insects like ladybirds. They really love munching on aphids!
Sacrificial planting is also worth checking out. You can plant a few different things to draw pests away from your main crops. It’s a whole strategy that can really pay off! Plus, releasing ladybird larvae can be an effective natural predator option. Don't forget about encouraging birds, too—they can help keep those pests in check!
Have you tried companion planting? For instance, marigolds work great alongside tomatoes, and you can use garlic spray on your plants, too. Just remember to reapply it after rain. Also, netting is a lifesaver—just make sure it’s fabric, not plastic!

Totally agree! I've had good luck using fabric netting too. It's breathable and prevents getting too hot for the plants.
