Can I Bring My Late Grandmother’s Pothos Plant from Turkey to the US?

Hey everyone, I have a bit of a sentimental situation. I bought a pothos plant for my grandmother while I was visiting Turkey a few years back, and she absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, she passed away quite unexpectedly. I really want to bring that plant back to the US to keep it alive and in her memory. Does anyone know if it's possible to import a plant like that from overseas? What do I need to do to make it happen? Thanks for any advice!

If you're considering bringing clippings instead of the whole plant, you'll definitely need to check the regulations for that too. Sometimes they have different rules for cuttings compared to full plants, but it might be less risky as you won’t have to deal with the quarantine situation as much. Also, make sure to ask about what kind of permits you might need!

Bringing a plant back from overseas can be tricky! You’ll need to check in with customs and get the proper documents. Just a heads up, your plant might end up in quarantine for a bit, which isn’t ideal since they might not be well taken care of and could even die before you get them back. It's best to reach out to the airport you're landing at for specifics on what you would need to do.
