How Can I Hang Patio Lights Without Drilling?

Asked By SunnySky812 On

I just moved into a new construction home and I'm looking to hang some lights on my patio. I want to explore all the options available before I commit to screwing into the wood. Does anyone have any creative solutions or ideas for hanging lights without causing damage?

Check out outdoor clips that come with sticky backs instead of nails. You can find a ton of options at your local hardware store, and there's usually something that fits your style!

Another idea is to hang your lights from posts set in planters. It's a flexible solution, and you can adjust it based on the vibe you're going for!

I've had good luck using 3M Command strips. They work great for holding things up without drilling holes. For my patio lights, I used specific ones that attach nicely to my soffit. They've been hanging for a couple of years and only a few have come loose over time, but it's been mostly reliable!

I used those too, they really do work well!

Walmart or Target usually have hooks that don't require drilling. I've used them for various decorations, especially during the holidays. It’s as simple as pulling a tab when it’s time to take them down!
