I've been struggling with figuring out how to inspect the undersides of my zucchini leaves without causing damage, especially when I'm searching for eggs or pests. Lifting them straight up towards the stem usually results in rips, and turning them sideways takes way too long. With multiple plants to check twice daily, it's a lot of extra work that takes away from treating other plants. I even thought about using a mirror to check without lifting, but I'm not sure that'll work. Has anyone else found a good solution?

Consider using a kneeling pad and getting down to the plant's level. It might help you see better without having to shift the leaves too much. Just be careful if you're dealing with mobility issues, too.
Why not give the hand mirror idea a shot? It sounds pretty clever! You can get a small, compact one that you can easily hold under the leaves. You’d probably get a better view and avoid the damage altogether.

I appreciate the suggestion! Unfortunately, arthritis makes that tricky for me, but I’ll be trellising soon, which should help with those lower leaves.
