I'm trying to root a succulent that has no roots right now. Would it be wise to let it sit in water to encourage root growth, or is that risky because it might lead to root rot? I've been at this for ages and still haven't seen any progress!

I agree with PlantGuru99! If you really want to try water propagation, you could place the succulent in water but only partially, making sure the leaves aren't submerged. Just change the water regularly. Also, check out some propagation guides online—they can be super helpful in getting your plant to root!
Letting your rootless succulent sit in water can be a bit tricky. It's a delicate balance; while succulents do need moisture to root, too much water can definitely lead to rot. Instead of leaving it in water, you might want to try placing it in moist potting soil and keep it in a bright, indirect light spot. This should help promote healthy root growth without the risk of root rot.
