I just bought a house with a metal roof, and after spending a weekend cleaning off years of pine straw, replacing old roofing screws, and recaulked around the flashing, I've noticed the roof isn't as white as it's supposed to be. The debris has caused some discoloration. Can anyone recommend the best products or methods to clean and restore my roof?

Have you tried power washing? It can really work wonders for removing grime and debris. Start with that to see how much it cleans up. You can also grab a stiff plastic push broom to scrub the surface if needed.

I did spray it off with a hose, but I’m hesitant to use any cleaners until I know they won't cause more damage.
