MDF Core vs Plywood Core for Cabinet Projects: What’s Better?

I've got this cabinet project where I'm trying to blend the cabinets with wall paneling. For the paneling, I want to stick with plywood core since it's super durable. However, I'm worried about keeping the grain consistent throughout, particularly with the doors and drawer faces. I'm leaning toward using MDF core for the doors because it's stable and less likely to warp. Just looking for some advice on which direction to go! Cheers!

If you're painting your doors, go with MDF. It's great for a smooth finish. But if you plan to stain, plywood is the way to go since it holds up better and won’t warp as much over time.

Are these shaker style doors or do they have a raised profile? If it’s not shaker, plywood should work well and shouldn’t warp enough to affect the frame.
