How Can I Fit a Dishwasher in a Narrow Space Without Major Remodeling?

I'm having trouble fitting a dishwasher into the space I have. My dishwasher measures 23.25 inches wide, but the cabinet opening is only 22.5 inches. I can cut out an interior wall to create the necessary width, but I want to keep the outer wall intact. Given the tight space, what do you recommend to successfully install the dishwasher without a full kitchen remodel? Also, is it okay to fit a dishwasher in such a snug spot? I'm still a beginner with carpentry, but I'm willing to learn! Just to clarify, my height and depth measurements are good; it's solely the width that's the issue.

You might be able to remove the trim and trim it down a bit with a table saw to get a cleaner look. Just check the interior width behind that trim for any extra space. If height is a concern, consider looking into ADA dishwashers, which are designed a bit differently.

There's really no trim here to modify—just countertop and cabinet boards with the toe kick.
