Should I be worried about this crack in my turret?

I recently spotted a crack in my turret that runs from the roof down to the window. I didn't notice it until just a few days ago, so it seems pretty new. My home was built in March 2021, and the foundation was inspected by a third party before I moved in, who said it was in great shape. I'm wondering if this crack could lead to bigger issues, especially since I had a hailstorm recently. Can anyone advise me on how to address this?

It sounds like you might have some water getting in through the crack. Given that you experienced hail recently, it's possible that the roof could have taken some damage. You might want to inspect the area closely for signs of water leakage or dampness. If the crack is indeed new, it’s worth keeping a close eye on it to see if it worsens. Might be a good idea to check out the roof and possibly consult a contractor for further assessment!

I’d say it's definitely something to keep an eye on. Even if the foundation was in great shape, cracks can develop for various reasons, especially in new builds. Make sure to monitor it over the next few weeks. Taking precautionary action now could save headaches later. A contractor can help you determine if it needs repairs or if you're just overreacting!
