I'm looking for a riving knife for my Dewalt DWE 7485 XE table saw and having a tough time finding one here in Australia. I currently have the original riving knife and blade, but I'd like to get a second one to easily swap out when I use my crosscut sled. The blade diameter is 210mm with a kerf of 2.4mm, and the stock riving knife is 2.2mm thick. I found a riving knife online that seems to be compatible, but I'm not sure if it will work, especially since it's advertised as 1.6mm thick with a 1.8mm kerf width. I also found a part number (N695948) that should be a fit, but I'd love to get confirmation before buying it. Can anyone tell me if this riving knife is safe to use with my setup?

Hey! It’s strange that your saw didn’t come with a couple of riving knives; mine did when I bought it in Canada. But regarding your question, the part number you found (N695948) seems popular, and I've read that it’s a good fit for various Dewalt models. Just double-check that the thickness and kerf width are compatible with your current setup, as mismatch can indeed be risky! Good luck!
I can’t comment on your specific riving knife, but I’ve seen that part number is cited often in forums. If you’re seeing it come in cheaper from Canadian sites, maybe look into shipping options. Here's a listing that looks decent from eBay Australia - just make sure to ask sellers about the thickness before buying.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll check that out and confirm the specs with the seller.

Yeah, definitely check those specs! It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to table saws.
