Help! My Monstera Is Browning Again – What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and I really need some advice on my baby Monstera. I've had it for a little over a year, and about six months ago, it had a brown leaf that I cut off—probably not my best move, but I didn't know better at the time. The plant seemed fine after that, but lately, another leaf has started to brown. I'm planning to get a moss pole for support and maybe repot it, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I should do. Should I cut the brown leaves, and if so, where? Any tips on saving my little guy so he can thrive would be greatly appreciated!

Without seeing what’s going on, it’s tough to say for sure, but from what you’ve said, it sounds like losing a few lower leaves is pretty normal, especially if your plant is still producing new growth. Once the leaves turn crispy and brown, you can gently pull them off. It’s part of the plant’s life cycle, and as long as it's growing more than it’s losing, you’re good! Just keep an eye on it and feel free to share pictures if you want more specific advice!

Totally agree! I had a similar situation, and my plant bounced back after I trimmed off the dead leaves. Don’t be too hard on yourself; it's all part of learning. Just keep nurturing it!
