Need Tips for Reviving My 5-Year-Old Lawn

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on caring for my lawn. We just moved into a new build property, and our lawn covers about 110m² (11x10m). It was newly turfed when we moved in, but the soil seems kind of soggy and clay-heavy. I haven't done much beyond mowing and watering it, but I've noticed some patches are yellowish - I'm thinking it might be due to overwatering. There's also a mix of moss and some random weeds. I'm planning to start working on it in March when the weather gets nicer. Here's what I'm thinking of doing:

1. Using iron sulphate mixed with water to kill off the moss. Should I wait until March for this, or can I start now?
2. Scarifying the entire lawn.
3. Aerating with a garden fork and adding sharp sand into the aeration holes.
4. Overseeding and lightly dressing the area with topsoil.
5. Applying some lawn nutrition at the end. Do I need to wait a bit before watering everything?

Also, for the sharp sand, do I just pour it into the holes after aerating, or is there a different method? Thanks for any help!

Your plan looks solid! When it comes to the sharp sand, definitely brush it into the aeration holes. This helps increase the surface area and allows for better water infiltration. Also, consider adding some gypsum or clay breaker to improve the soil texture. It should help make it more manageable!

Thanks for the tip! So when would you recommend applying the clay breaker? Did you mean to mix it in with the sharp sand?
