I recently moved into a house that has a window in the shower, and it's kind of a nightmare when it comes to keeping it clean. Water tends to collect there, and despite having scraped, painted, and caulked it last year, it's already looking grimy again. Until I can afford a permanent fix, what are the best products or solutions I can use to keep it as clean and mildew-free as possible?

If you're thinking about a more permanent solution, consider replacing it with a high-mounted awning window. We did that and it’s been fantastic! The sill stays completely dry, and you still get that nice natural light without the moisture problems.
I've dealt with a wooden window in the shower too. What we did was hang a shower liner across that wall to protect it. If you can't install a curtain rod, a tension rod can work just fine, and it's easy to set up without any drilling!
A great temporary fix is to hang a small plastic shower curtain in front of the window. I lived in a similar situation before, and it worked wonders for keeping the water out and making cleanup easier! It doesn’t look fancy, but it gets the job done.

Totally agree! I used a black shower curtain cut to fit inside the window frame for some privacy, and added a frosted shower curtain outside it to keep the water away. Works well without breaking the bank!
