Every time I try to work in my yard, I get swarmed by mosquitoes. I've heard about Orkin's mosquito service, but I'm wondering if there are better or more effective ways to handle this issue. Any tips or personal experiences would be appreciated!

I've found that using mosquito dunks has helped me a lot during the summer. They're pretty effective for reducing the population over time. You also want to check your yard for any standing water, as that’s where mosquitoes breed. If you can clear that out, you’ll see fewer of them around!
Using a repellent with DEET is one of the best strategies I’ve come across. It’s not as harsh as trying to douse the whole area in insecticides! Also, it’s super important to inspect for any watery spots on your property since that’s where mosquitoes love to lay their eggs. Just a quick check can make a big difference!

I just got a new house in February and haven't thoroughly explored it yet. I inherited the previous owner's garden, but I think there’s an abandoned house next to mine that could be the breeding ground.
