I accidentally left my crassula campfire outside in the summer heat, which hit around 33°C (feels like 39°C) for a week. Although it doesn't look completely dead yet, some of the leaves have dried out. The pot was super hot when I touched it, and after watering, I noticed the drainage water was really yellow. Are the roots likely damaged? Should I prepare for its potential demise soon?

It sounds like your crassula campfire might be okay! Even though it faced some tough conditions, 33°C isn't outrageous for a succulent. The plant experiences the heat differently than we do. Just keep an eye on it, and make sure it’s getting enough water without being overwatered. If you notice any more leaves drying out, trim those back to help the plant focus its energy on the healthy parts.
It’s hard to say for sure without seeing it, but the yellow drainage could indicate excess minerals or salt build-up from watering. As for the shriveled leaves, that might just be part of the plant adjusting to the sudden heat. Just be sure to let it dry out a bit between waterings to prevent root rot!
