Hey everyone! I recently got a cassette deck that requires a power input of 17VAC at a maximum of 0.5A. I'm not quite sure where to find an inverter or transformer to power it. I do have some 12V and 24V DC power supplies that are pretty powerful (60-400W), but they won't work for this AC requirement. Does anyone have suggestions for how I can get 17VAC without breaking the bank? Thanks in advance for any advice!

You might want to try a doorbell transformer for this. They usually output around 16V AC, which should be close enough for your needs! You can find them at most hardware stores or online pretty cheaply.
Are you sure it’s not a DC deck? If you have the name or model number, I can help you figure it out. I found a transformer on Amazon that outputs 17VAC, so that might be an option for you. Here’s a link to one that looks like it should work for your deck: [Amazon Transformer](https://www.amazon.com/AC17VX2-Console-Connector-Pedalboard-110V-120V/dp/B0CM2T9FC7/ref=asc_df_B0CM2T9FC7?mcid=30c88832b1fb383d99b2d14a27cb1d97&hvocijid=1459386021106025468-B0CM2T9FC7-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1459386021106025468&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031862&hvtargid=pla-2281435179338&psc=1).

I actually have the model you’re talking about! Here's a photo of it: [Cassette Deck Image](https://ibb.co/fY1CDhb0). It's a Marantz SD-25, and it needs to connect to the Marantz PB-25 for power, but I just have the SD unit.
