I'm looking for recommendations on a miter saw that's ideal for cutting really tiny trim, like pieces that are only 1/4" in diameter. What have you all used or suggest?

Check out the X-acto saw—it's specifically designed for small pieces like what you're working with. I’ve got one, and it’s fantastic for mini projects. There's even a larger option available if needed. Just make sure to grab the coarsest blade you can find for better results!
Totally impressed with how well it works for such small cuts!
For cutting small pieces effectively, smaller blades are definitely the way to go! Just a heads up—sliding saws can lose a bit of efficiency with tiny cuts. If you have a 12" sliding compound saw, you can workaround it by supporting the piece against a wider block to get better precision.

I second this! I use mine for tiny items all the time. It really helps keep my fingers clear from the blade too.
