Is It Common for New M12 Batteries to Arrive Fully Charged?

I just received a brand new M12 6.0 AH battery, and to my surprise, it came fully charged! Is this unusual? I always thought new batteries typically needed a charge before use. Has anyone else experienced this?

For the best battery life, they usually recommend shipping with around an 80% charge. I’m not sure how that translates to bars on your tool, but they want to avoid too much charge for longevity.

It's actually pretty rare for them to come fully charged. Usually, they ship with only one or two bars to keep them safe during storage. Maybe Milwaukee's trying something new with their battery assembly? Either way, consider it a little bonus and get to using it!

I heard that Milwaukee once advertised sending batteries fully charged. Not sure if it's still the case, but it did happen with some batches in the past. Could be you're just lucky with this one!
