Hey everyone! I'm in the process of mounting a foldable Mikolo WR00 squat rack to my garage wall, and I plan to use 2x8 stringer boards for support. I'm wondering what length of lag screws would be best for attaching the rack to those stringer boards. I've noticed that some folks suggest using 3/8 x 3-inch lag screws, but I'm concerned that if the screws are 3 inches long, they'll go all the way through the depth of the stringer, which might compromise its stability. What do you think?

You should actually consider using through bolts to secure the rack directly to the stringers, and then use lag screws to attach the stringers to the wall studs. It gives you better stability! Just make sure to choose appropriate sizes for both the bolts and lag screws for maximum security.

That sounds like a solid plan! Do you have a recommended size or length for the bolts? The mount holes are a bit less than half an inch.
