Is This Roof Replacement Quote Too Good to Be True in Northern NJ?

Hey everyone! I got a quote for replacing the shingle roof on my 1600 sqft house for less than $7,000. The estimate includes the removal of the old roof, daily cleanup, and the installation of a new GAF Timberline HDZ Architectural Asphalt Roof. They seem to cover a lot, like the installation of new drip edges, ice and water barrier underlayment, and ridge vents. Does anyone see any red flags with this price or the details in the scope? I really appreciate your insights!

I think they might have missed a digit in that quote. A roof replacement usually costs significantly more around here. We just paid about $10k, and that included some plywood replacement. Definitely do your research!

Totally agree! I had a similar experience where the initial quote was way off from reality. Always good to double-check!

The scope looks solid, but the price seems a bit low for what they’re offering. It's important to compare with other local quotes to get a sense of the market. Just be cautious—make sure they have good reviews and proper licensing to avoid any surprises.

Yeah, I felt the same! It’s definitely worth getting a couple more quotes just to be sure. Better safe than sorry!

Wow, I just paid $24k for my roof replacement in Michigan! Prices can vary so much depending on location and the extent of work. Just keep that in mind while you evaluate this offer.
