Hey everyone! I recently moved into a new house, and while my driveway has held up well for about a year and a half, I've noticed it's starting to degrade. With each rainstorm, it gets worse, especially since we have a sloped driveway that turns into a bit of a water slide during heavy rains. I'm looking to completely redo it and need advice on what materials I should consider. I'm leaning towards something durable that can handle consistent water flow since we live on a hill and get a lot of runoff. I've heard about porous asphalt being an option, but I'm worried about longevity. What do you all recommend?

If your budget allows, I’d definitely recommend going with concrete. It’s one of the best materials for a sloped driveway, especially when you take into account the water flow. It’ll last way longer than asphalt and requires less maintenance, plus it can handle those storms much better, keeping things solid for years. You can also look into some reinforcement options for added stability.

Oh really? I thought concrete might not be the best choice for a slope. That’s good to know. Thanks!
