I've got several doors that swing open and hit the adjacent walls at awkward angles. For instance, I have a 30" door whose hinge is about 8-9" away from the wall it swings into. I initially thought about installing wall door stops, but I realized these doors won't hit the stops at a 90-degree angle; rather, they contact at about a 60-degree angle. I have other doors that hit the wall stops at various non-90-degree angles, even one at around 30 degrees. Is this a problem? Should I consider using a different type of door stop, like floor-mounted ones? I'd prefer not to drill into the floor, but I also don't want to keep breaking the wall or base-mounted door stops.

Check out hinge stops! They’re designed to limit how far the door swings open, which might work better for your angled doors. Just make sure you’re mindful of the amount of force on your door, especially if it’s a hollow core door since it can act like a lever.
You might want to find the point where the door hits the wall and stick a bumper there. They’re these adhesive clear bumps that come in various sizes, and they’ve worked wonders for me without permanent installation.
That sounds like a neat idea! Do you think they’d hold up well over time?
Using hinge-mounted door stops might help prevent your wall stops from snapping off. Just be sure to put glue in the threads so they stay put. Just keep in mind, if someone pushes on the door, there’s a risk of ripping the hinge screws out, so they might need some extra care.

Yeah, I’ve used them before, and they make a big difference! Just be careful with placement to avoid damage.
