I watered my succulents and cacti early on Saturday morning after they had been dry for about 10 days. It was really hot that day, but then unexpectedly, they got rained on by a storm on Sunday. I quickly moved them out of the rain and used a fan to dry them overnight, but then we had another surprise rain this morning! Should I be worried about their health? Are there any soil additives or tips to avoid root rot?

As long as your soil has good drainage and your pots have drainage holes, your plants should be okay. Just hold off on watering until they show signs of needing it, like drooping leaves. Overwatering can be a concern, but if the water’s draining well, it's usually not a problem.
Definitely avoid watering if it's going to rain. A bit of rain is fine, especially since you just watered them, but prolonged wet soil can lead to issues like root rot. Keeping an eye on the drainage will be key. If you want to help with drying out the soil, you can try using a chopstick to poke holes into the soil to help air circulate.
