Should I Extend My Sump Pump and Gutter to Prevent Water Pooling Near My House?

Hey fellow homeowners! I'm a new homeowner, and I've noticed that my sump pump and gutter are located right next to each other. The water drains out, but it tends to just sit right below them instead of flowing away from the house. I'm considering getting extenders for both the sump pump and the gutter to direct the water further away from my foundation. Does this sound like a good idea? Any advice would be appreciated!

You should absolutely extend it away from your foundation. If you can get enough slope, consider burying the pipe to keep things looking tidy. It’ll not only help with drainage but also keep your yard looking neat.

I heard for a permanent extension, using PVC is best? I see some gutter extenders that might work too!
