I recently moved into an apartment and I have this patio space that I'm hoping to turn into a nice hangout spot for my son and me. However, it's got this terrible smell; I suspect one of my neighbors isn't properly taking care of their dog and it's been left to poop all over their patio. The stench is like a filthy dog mixed with some gross rainwater, and I really want to know if there's any way to mask or get rid of that smell. Any suggestions?

One quick fix is to try using charcoal bags, which can absorb odors. You can also set up bowls of white vinegar around the area; they help neutralize smells too. Just remember, it won’t solve the neighbor’s issue, but it might improve your patio situation a bit!
If the smell is really bad, consider an enzymatic spray. They can break down odors instead of just masking them, which might be exactly what you need to tackle that stench!

I've heard that using a fan to blow out the smell can also help. Just keep it running whenever you're out on the patio!
