Hey everyone! I'm trying to find the best way to mount my nanoleaf lights to a painted brick wall in my apartment. I previously used heavy-duty Velcro tape, but unfortunately, they fell down after a few weeks. I'm considering using construction adhesive like Loctite Power Grab or PL Premium to bond the plastic backing of the lights to the painted brick. I'm a bit concerned, though, about whether the painted surface will allow for a strong enough bond, which seems to be the issue with the Velcro. Do you think this will work, or do you have any other suggestions? I'm really hoping to avoid drilling if possible. Worst-case scenario, I can sand off the adhesive and repaint if I need to relocate them later.

Honestly, I think just drilling a few small holes for tiny nails would be a safer bet. I get that you want to avoid drilling in an apartment, but construction adhesive can do a lot more damage than a couple of small holes would! It’s worth considering if you want a secure hold.

Yeah, but it’s brick, so drilling could lead to cracking. That’s why I was thinking adhesive might be the way to go. Sanding down the adhesive later and repainting is definitely doable if it doesn’t work out!
