I recently purchased a Robot Mower 250 A1 and I'm trying to figure out the best location for the charging base. The manual suggests keeping 1 meter of space behind the base. Can anyone explain why this clearance is important?
My yard is quite irregular with no straight edges, so if I adhere to the 1-meter rule, the base ends up right in front of my window, which is really unattractive. Would it be okay to put it in my flower bed or on the gravel patch around my house instead?

I'm not sure about the 1-meter clearance rule either. My guess is that it might be necessary for the mower to navigate properly when it's heading back to the charging station or to ensure it can mow that area well. It could also help with its positioning. Maybe orient it at a 90-degree angle to the lawn for a better setup?
I've set up my charging station similarly, and all I did was add some barriers to keep the mower from going off course when it backs up. It seems to work just fine, so you might want to consider that option if you're placing it in a tricky spot!
That's really helpful to know! How did you manage the return line behind your base?

That sounds logical! I guess having proper clearance helps with the mower knowing where it is too, right?
