Anyone else baffled by how pricey Milwaukee batteries are?

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here! I've been collecting Milwaukee tools to set myself apart from my brother and his yellow-brand tools. I've been enjoying my tools so far, especially when I was sawing logs with a buddy and his dad. They recommended the 12mAh Forge batteries, so I started checking them out, but I can't help but wonder why Milwaukee batteries are so overpriced. The best deal I can find for a pair of 12mAh batteries with a basic super charger is AUD$1,049.00 here in Australia. To put it in perspective, I could buy five decent car batteries or around 1,500 Duracell AA batteries for that amount. Why do we put up with these outrageous prices for power tool batteries?

The Forge batteries are pricier because they use tabless cell technology, which is designed for better performance. If you don’t need that level of output, you could save some money by opting for the standard high output batteries—those are about 33% cheaper!

Yeah, it’s pretty wild! The prices in Australia are definitely higher compared to other places. I really like Milwaukee tools too, but there are often more affordable options available for batteries. It might be a good idea to look into alternatives if you're trying to save some cash.

For sure! It’s worth shopping around; you might find some decent models without breaking the bank.
