How Do I Repot My Giant Pothos Climbing All Over the Wall?

I'm curious about the best way to repot those huge pothos plants that have taken over my walls. Do people just repot them in place, trying not to disturb the whole structure? Or do they avoid repotting altogether? I'm especially interested in how it works when they're growing on moss poles or wrapped around stairs.

You can actually repot it in place! Just do a gentle repot and try to keep everything as intact as possible. It makes the process a lot easier and helps avoid stressing out your plant too much.

I’d say try to repot it but keep it in the same spot! I think the roots might not grow as much if they're climbing high, considering there's plenty of space above them for leaves. It could be more about supporting the growth overhead.

Yeah, it's definitely a bit of a messy job! You’ll have to be careful, but keeping the plant where it is and just refreshing the soil can really help. Sometimes you'll end up with a few stray bits, but that’s just part of it.
