What’s the Most Unique Seed You’ve Ever Grown?

I'm getting ready for my spring seed order and want to branch out a bit this year. I've tried some interesting varieties before, like watermelon radish and red shiso, which turned out great! This time, I'm considering growing black turmeric, purple carrots, and a 'beneficial bug flower mix' to attract lady beetles and parasitic wasps. I'd love to hear about the weirdest or most unique seeds anyone has grown, especially if they're edible or help with soil and pest control!

Accidentally grew a round cactus from an indoor flower I had. Must've been fertilized by gnats or something! Now I have a little baby cactus from the seeds of a fruit it produced. Not the usual vegetable, but it’s been a fun project!

That's such a wild story! Sometimes the best surprises come from unexpected places.

Phacelia was a cool one for me. The blooms look like little scorpions—super unique and a great addition to the garden! Definitely turned some heads.

I tried growing opium poppy once. It was pretty unusual and definitely not your standard garden fare! Just make sure to check your local laws if you go this route!
