Should I DIY or Hire a Contractor for My Bathroom Remodel?

I'm considering remodeling a small bathroom located off my master bedroom. Currently, it has a stall shower, but I'd love to switch it out for a nice soaking tub. I've played around with a few layout ideas but haven't settled on anything yet. I'm wondering if this is a project that I could handle on my own, or if it's better to hire someone. Any advice would be appreciated! Here's a quick sketch of the current layout versus my new concept: [imgur link].

It sounds like a fun project! If you have experience with home improvement and you’re comfortable tackling plumbing, you could probably handle this bathroom remodel on your own, especially since you have another bathroom to use during the process. Just be sure to check the dimensions and layout carefully to ensure everything fits right.

Yeah, having a backup bathroom definitely helps! Just make sure you understand the plumbing layout since you're in a split-level home.

If you're not too experienced, I’d recommend hiring out at least for the plumbing part, as that can get trickier. But if you’re willing to learn, internet tutorials can be a huge help for things like tub installation!

True, but if you have a solid plan, you might manage just fine! Just take it one step at a time.
