I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about hosepipe bans. I have a ton of Acer trees in pots and quite a few plants in the ground. Right now, I can only rely on two water butts, which definitely won't be enough to keep my garden thriving. I'm curious about how others manage their gardens during these bans. What strategies or tips do you have for keeping plants hydrated?

One great alternative is to use watering cans! You can fill them up at your outside tap. A hosepipe can waste more water because it delivers a lot at once, so this helps you conserve. Just remember, it’s allowed to use watering cans during a hosepipe ban!
Why not get creative with your water sources? Many folks use bathwater, shower buckets, or even the water from the tumble dryer! Also, try moving your plants to shaded areas and grouping them together to help maintain moisture. I’m even setting up an old gazebo over my sunniest spot to give them a bit of protection.

That sounds like a great idea! If you're going away, grouping plants together might be a good strategy. Just make sure someone can water them while you’re gone!
