In my last apartment, I had raw bronze fixtures, and they needed some upkeep, but it wasn't too bad. I spent about 20 minutes each week cleaning them with Bar Keeper's Friend to remove oxidation, followed by a spray of Hoppe's gun oil, which kept them looking good and even made my kitchen smell nice! Just a heads up, find out if they're raw bronze or lacquered. Oil-rubbed bronze is usually more maintenance-free.
