Hey everyone! I recently worked on some paneling and unfortunately got exposed to MDF dust without wearing a mask. I've heard that MDF can be harmful, so I'm a bit worried. Do you think that just one day of working with it is likely to cause me any serious harm? I plan to wear a mask in the future, but I'd love to hear your thoughts.

One day of exposure isn't going to give you cancer or anything, but it's good to be worried about it! Just remember to mask up next time and you'll be fine. Drink lots of water too; it helps flush things out!
A few hours shouldn't be too bad, but always better to play it safe!
Generally, it's not a big deal if it's just a one-off exposure. Most woodworkers who don't use a mask have probably been in the same boat. It’s the repeated, long-term exposure that's risky. Just make sure you're protective next time and clean up any dust to be safe!
Haha, you're not doomed! A single day like that usually won't harm you, especially since you haven't felt any immediate effects. If you had asthma or other respiratory issues, it might have impacted you quicker. Just stay hydrated and be mindful going forward!

What do you think is a safe duration for exposure?
