Hey everyone! I occasionally work on my car but I'm not a pro mechanic. I'm looking to buy a 12v ratchet and noticed that Home Depot has some great deals right now, including an extra battery. I already own some M18 tools and recently got an M12 Hammer Drill Kit. I'm about to replace the sensors on my Ford Explorer by removing the bumper, so I need a recommendation. Should I go for the Extended Reach ratchet or the Original? I want to make the right choice so I don't have to buy another one later. Thanks for your help!

I find the extended reach kind of awkward and unbalanced. If you can only pick one ratchet, I'd suggest going for the Fuel High Speed in the regular length or just the brushed version. Both are well-balanced and easy to handle. The extended reach is better suited for those who really use a ratchet a lot and already have a standard one. In that case, I'd say go for the Insider instead of the extended reach ratchet.
I actually love my extended reach ratchet! It gets into spots where the standard ones can't reach. I haven't found it unbalanced at all, it's been great for me.
I think you might regret getting the original ratchet. Most of us here have one, and it just sits unused. I have the Insider, and while it's not perfect, it does come in handy when nothing else fits. If you don't already have a few solid manual ratchets in different sizes, I'd recommend getting those first before diving into the electric ones.
Thanks for that. I will look into that also. Really trying to get it right but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciated!
