Need Help with My Whirlpool Dryer Repair

Hey everyone! I was in the middle of replacing the belt on my Whirlpool dryer and I noticed that the metal piece that secures the belt to the motor pulley has completely broken off. Is this a big problem? The dryer is only a couple of years old, so I'm hoping there's a solution!

Are you referring to the idler or tension pulley and its arm? Whenever I've had to fix a dryer, I usually get a repair kit that comes with the pulley, bearings, and belts for about $30. It’s usually worth it to replace everything at once since taking it apart can be a hassle. But yeah, if you could share the model and some pics, that’d definitely help!

Here's a link to my other post with the pictures: https://www.reddit.com/r/DIY/s/v0ul3bjRrM. I couldn’t upload images here.

Could you share the make and model? Also, pictures would really help us understand your situation better!

I’ll have to figure out the best way to share pictures, I think I need to delete and repost to do that.

Have you checked out appliance repair websites using your model number? Places like repairclinic.com can provide parts and info that could be super useful! If you have more details, feel free to share and I can help out!

Yeah, I emailed Whirlpool and wanted to see if anyone here had ideas too. Just posted again with my model info and some pics. Can't really do much until tomorrow anyway.
