I've been dabbling in woodworking for about two years, but once it gets too cold in my garage, I have to pause my projects. I started with a small budget since I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy woodworking, but now I'm ready to tackle a full bedroom set! Here's where I need some advice: I currently have a 10-inch non-sliding miter saw, a circular saw, and a Dewalt 8.25 table saw. I've hit a snag with the miter saw because it doesn't cut wider pieces like a 1x8. Now I'm trying to figure out whether I should upgrade my miter saw or my table saw first, keeping in mind that space is limited in my garage that my wife and I both use. What do you all think?

I'd definitely recommend upgrading to a table saw first! It's way more versatile than a miter saw. With a cross cut sled, you can achieve a lot of the same cuts you'd make with a miter saw. You'll find a good table saw to be a game-changer for most woodworking projects.
Go for the table saw, no question! Check out used contractor saws from brands like Delta or Jet; they're solid options. Just make sure it has a good fence and cast iron wings. Trust me, you'll be so much better off for it!
It really depends on your space and needs. Consider getting something new instead of just upgrading. Band saws are awesome for cutting shapes, and a router with the table option can open doors for joining and edging. Also, don't overlook a good dust collection system; it's crucial for making your workspace pleasant!
For me, it's all about the table saw. I hardly ever use my miter saw—like once every couple of years! For most cuts, I do a rough cut with my circular saw and finish on the table saw. If you want to do plywood panels, a circular saw with a guide is a must-have. That's the way to go!
