How Can I Manage Water Dripping from My AC Unit onto My Terrace?

I just installed an air conditioning unit above my terrace, but I've run into a problem. The condensation from the AC is dripping onto the terrace floor and trickling down the stairs, which makes the area slippery. I'm looking for ideas on how to absorb or manage this water before it creates puddles by the edge. I'd prefer not to use pipes or containers that require frequent emptying. Instead, I'm thinking something like plants or sponges to soak it up. Any suggestions?

You might want to look for a drain attachment on the bottom of your AC unit. Many models have options for drainage that can help keep the area dry.

Extending the drainage line to the ground could be a great option too. Just make sure it’s done properly so you don’t end up with water pooling somewhere else!

Check your AC's manual; it might have a built-in drip tray you can connect a small hose to! This would redirect the water away without having to worry about it pooling on your terrace. Also, just a heads up, be cautious about where that water goes, as standing water isn't great for anyone.
